On chilly nights theres nothing like a hot and creamy cup of cocoa before bed. The only thing that could make it better, is if the cocoa actually helped you relax, and sleep soundly, right? Well that was our thought, especially since poor sleep is the root of so many health issues. We've added chamomile, valerian, and oat straw so it lets your nervous system relax and your buzzing brain slow down. It's slightly sweetened with organic coconut sugar, but feel free to add sweetener to taste.
Directions: add 1 tablespoon to 8oz hot water, or milk.

Chamomile has been used for thousands of years (literally. There is evidence that it was used by Neanderthals over 50,000 years ago!). Considering the plant is quite bitter, its assumed it was used as medicine, and for good reason. Chamomile is gentle, yet effective at calming nerves, and melting muscle tension.
Valerian Root is the number one herb when it comes to sleep! It is high in substances called valepotriates that have been shown in experimental studies to improve co-ordination, relax muscle tissue and decrease anxiety. It has also show to minimize reactions to noise based sleep disturbances.
Oat straw works on a deep level with the nervous system, and has an almost instant noticeable affect on stress symptoms.
